In 1981, Daniele Zamuner began cultivating approximately 7 hectares of land, nestled in the enchanting amphitheater of the moraine hills surrounding Lake Garda. Passion and tenacity helped him realize his ambitious project of making wine with grape varieties different from those grown in the Veneto region, bringing back precious souvenirs from his travels in France: Pinot and Chardonnay.

For forty years his winery has produced “the most French of Italian sparkling wines”, using the well-known Classic Method learned from colleagues across the Alps.

The most French among Italians

From the very beginning, the winery was entrusted to a series of trusted winemakers who shared the project. This project is still entrusted to the longtime cellar master, Alessandra Zamuner's right-hand man. The success of these Made in Veneto sparkling wines is evidenced by the massive armored door that "protects" the cellar's vault. Inside, almost all the historic vintages are kept, as well as the racks needed to tip the bottles. The sight of the shelves where dozens of bottles of sparkling wine from the 1980s , still on the lees and waiting to be disgorged, is quite impressive in this small town in the Veneto region.

The Classic Method

The winery's pride and joy is its application of the so-called "Metodo Classico," learned in the Champagne region and adapted to the Verona area. Not subject to any specific production regulations, Zamuner's Metodo Classico uses the same grape varieties used for centuries in the French region and is appreciated for its extremely fine perlage, ample bouquet, and interesting length. The winery's pride and joy is its exclusive use of estate-grown grapes, carefully monitoring every stage of their growth. For fermentation, yeast strains selected by the Champagne Oenological Institute, specifically developed for secondary fermentation in the bottle, are used.
